The RCA projection TV will not power up. The power Light (Green LED) blinks on and off several times during a 5 second period, but the set never powers up.
Thanks......Since there are 3 CRTs I assume any one could be bad! BUT the TV had been working intermittantly for several weeks before it would not come back on at all. When the problem first appeared... just coolling off the PCBs allowed the set to come back on. Also I noticed "wavy" lines on the picture (similar to the old "de-gausing" coil effects). Do these big screens have any type of degausing coil circuitry built in?
You can remove the front grill on those RCA's and get to the CRT's. You'll be looking for the tube to internally arc at turn-on.
Those sets have a three strikes and you're out turn on sequence. It'll attempt to turn itself on 3 times. If it detects any sort of over current condition it'll shut itself off, then retry again until the 3rd time when it quits. The flybacks are infamous for going bad in those.
You can go HERE and find most of the parts you need for your TV set. The flyback is listed as the IHVT, part number 259296. It also says that part is no longer available. You will have to do a search for it. Good Luck with your repair.
Bad Flyback transformer?
Shorted CRT?
Those are just a couple of possibilities.

No degaussing circuit.

Thanks! Any suggestions as to where to get a replacement flyback...I have not been able to cross most of the transistors on this set!
