Projection TV image problem

I have a problem with my Phillips/Magnavox Projection TV. When it is powered up the image shrinks to the center of the screen. After it warms up it goes to a full screen. Please Help

Thanks

this is a common problem,

this is a common problem, there are three opto-coupler ic's lined up in the back middle of the power/deflection board on the right hand side. usaly the large one will be malfunctioning, but i have been into the habbit of changing all three of them. But i need the model number to know for sure but it sounds like this problem. if you get the model number i can get the ic referance numbers.

I have an identical problem

I have an identical problem with my Philips/Magnavox 9P6034C1 television. When I turn it on, the picture shrinks to the center, then returns to normal size, then back to small again. It plays this game of shrinking and expanding for a few minutes (that period gets longer each time), until it eventually fills the entire screen up and everything is fine. Is this an easily fixable problem?

If you can solder and are not

If you can solder and are not afraid of putting your hand in a television it is not a bad fix.

7412  p/n 932210514682 , 7406

7412  p/n 932210514682 , 7406 p/n 933894150682, 7413 p/n 933894150682 change all three of these opto couplers, and it will most likely fix this problem. in rare cases 7402 and 7410 will cause this same problem.  these parts are located on the large signal pannel it is the panel on the right side looking from the back of the tv, they are in the middle all the way closest to you lined up in a row.

This is very common problem

This is very common problem with this model. The screen will shrink and expand or it will just loose audio/video but the power light will remain on. Its a problem with the optoIC on the LSB board.
