Cano service manuals are usually only available to Canon authorized service centers. Also, these centers are under contract NOT to distribute them and ususally are required to surrender the manuals upon termination of authorized status. I have worked on a number of these in the past. What is the problem you are having? Perhaps we can help.
That is so true, Dan. Klips, and Bose are two other companies that are jealous about repair. I have seen some companies even sand off the part numbers on the ic's to keep it a secret. i really don't understand it but they must have their reasons.
I have disassembled the unit as the cassette machenism is not functioning properly. Found the tape holding arms on one side has given way. Iam able to relock thr arm . But i have changed the the gear position. Could u pl explain me how to set the position of wheels with ref to main one.
Without seeing the actual unit, I can't say for sure... With the arm out of sequence, I'd suspect that a gear has either slipped out of time or has broken. The timing of these gears is not simple and is tricky even with a service manual. Can you post a picture of the current locations/state of the gears? I'll see if I can find a similar model and try to get the alignment position for you.
