I have a 27 inch RCA HDTV, suddenly it has begun turning itself on and off. it isn't even a year old and it is very confusing because I can't keep it on long enough to figure it out. I did notice the sleep timer is not set so that isn't the problem, I also changed the batteries in the remote and it isn't working, I have to keep it unplugged. It may be a power surge but I have 5 tv's in the house and I never saw this happen before. Can someone help please?
If this TV set is less then a year old, check with the store and see if you still have a warranty with this TV set. This problem could be a bad control panel on the front of the set behind the buttons, or the remote sensor is bad, or perhaps a power supply problem. There is no quick or easy fix with this one I'm afraid. Good Luck
