kv32fs13 sony wega no video and audio

Hi

I got a second hand tv....sound and video was working fine when i checked at seller's house. After i took it to my place and switched it on there was no sound, but video was fine. i tried audio out jacks it didnt work, just for checking i tried 'audio in' from my music system, speakers still dint work....i thought it was some audio amp problem in tv. therefore i used vcr for audio out all these days. Now after two weeks, video is also gone. when i switch it on i just hear a click sound and black screen. standby light gives 3 flashes only once and after a short pause gives 4 flashes, pause and 4 flashes again..this goes on. please help !!!! is it an expensive fix ?

4 blinks is missing +13 volts

4 blinks is missing +13 volts to the a board, Unlike other fixes that you see here this one has many possiable faults, the 13 volts could be missing because of a shorted horiz output transister, regulator or a problem with the A board loading down the 13 volt line. This problem has no easy fix, but describing your problem with the sound, leads me to "A" board possiably. the problem is you need to realy troublshoot this one.

i checked it today again,

i checked it today again, actually in the first 3 blinks the third blink is little bit longer than the first two blinks and i hear a click sound from the tv and  then the continuous 4 blinks starts............

The 4 blink is the error.

The 4 blink is the error. What you see before is the set telling you it is trying to start up, it is not untill it stops this is when the error codes starts, and it will repeat the 4 blink sequince.

Hi zapdbf

Hi zapdbf

First of all thank you very much for helping me. could you tell me how much would it cost to repair that.  Should i call a technician to repair that or consider replacing it ? i bought it for 200 $.

 Thanks once again

That is hard to say they may

That is hard to say they may need to replace "A" board, or want to replace "G" board, or fix "G" board.  if they want to fix it to component level possibly 200 ish if they want to replace a board alot more than that possibly 400-500 in that range. The boards are expensive. That is just a ball park idea.
