Blinking Green light on Mitsubishi WD-Y65

Hello All,

Having the all too common never ending green blinking light on my 6 month old Mitsubishi 65" HD DLP TV model number WD-Y65.  I think this is the same as model # WD-65731?  I have had a tech out and confirmed with Mitsubishi that it is the DM board.  Mitsubishi is covering under warranty.  The problem is that the shipping time on the board is unreasonable.  My question is will the fix that is mentioned in other threads regarding 4 capacitors on the DM board possibly solve my problem, and can I get the detailed fix information sent to me at [email protected] .  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

No.  Don't even attempt to mess with this set yourself, you'll void your warranty if you do.

I purchased the same TV (WD

I purchased the same TV (WD-Y65) in April of 2007 and the same problem happen with my TV in December of 2007.  A tech came and replaced the DM board and fixed the problem, so I thought.  I worked for one day and the samething happened again.  It has been 3 weeks since they came the first time and still waiting on another DM board.  I'm not sure if it was a defective board or if the new one will do the same when it comes in.  Per the owners manuel you can reset it by unpluging the power for a minute or by pushing the reset button on the front of the screen.  My TV resets sometimes but only works for a few hours.  I am getting very fustrated.  Is there a lemon law on TV's?  It seems there have been a lot of issues with this TV but this is the first I've seen with a problem with the DM board.

Write a letter to Mitsubishi.

Write a letter to Mitsubishi. They know of the problem and if you complain loud enough, maybe you will be compensated or an exchange.

3 year old WD65731. Second bulb in 8 months. Red light on set now. When turn on I hear the fan cycle on and off without any continuous run time. Could the fan or heat sensor, etc be causing the lamp to fail?

Hello,

Hello,
I have a WD-Y657 (bought in Oct 2007) and had the blinking timer light once in a great while. The reset usually solved it. This morning the green blinking won't stop. I'm no longer under warranty and from reading some of the posts it looks like it is most likely the DM board. Are there any fixes for this model as listed for other Mitsubishi models (caps and fuses)? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
