I'm looking to purchase a 20" tv/dvd combo for my rv. It appears the lcds are lighter and offer a good quality pix. My question is...will the lcd hold up to bumps/movement the rv makes as well or better than a crt? Suggestions/comments?

I'm looking for a 20 inch tv for my rv. I see the lcds are lighter...and offer a quality pix. But how about holding up to the movement/bumps one get in a vehicle? Anyone have any experience with a lcd in a van/rv? Comments/suggestions?
Actually, LCD is probably a better way to go for an RV. CRTs typically hold up well, but LCDs with the lighter weight and more solid construction will probably be less sensitive over the long haul, especially if you're on the road a lot.
What kind of RV do you have? Pics?
I have an older (1999) Coachman (22 footer) with the television mounted up above the driver/front passenger. It has an older tube model that went out on my last trip...and I need to replace. The best price I've found is on Sylvania ( $299) but I've read some bad reviews. Toshiba 20" tv/dvd/vcr combon looks promising at $399. I'll definitely go with the lcd per your recommendation. Thanx, TOM
Cool. Give it a whirl and let us know how it turns out. We'd love to see some pics of your new TV mounted and operational in your RV.
