I have this RCA TX809 and most the times when i want to change signal type UHF VHF Antenna Cable channel, so i want to watch for exemple channel 28 UHF from the inside or outside antenna ,it just is not there in the menu for me to change.
When i bring up the menu, press 4 video should get like this
1 Sgnal type
2 auto channel search
3 list lables
4 auto tunning
5 video input saurse
o exit
but i get it this way
1 auto channel search
2 list lables
3 auto tunning
4video input
5 exit,. As you see i don't get 1 signal tipe, what you guys think is this the tuner or the eeprom, but some times if i unplugg from the wall outet a couple times it comes up and than upon turnnig off set it goes awy,
Sounds like an intermittent tuner. Try the auto tuning. If that won't work, try replacing the eeprom before the tuner. It is a lot less expensive.
Solution for RF input i went in the gem Star set up and sellected all zeros in the zip code, and sellected No Cable, now i get off the air UHF-VHF all channels Thanks,
