It sould like you have a bad picture tube or a a bad voltage sourse going to the picture tube. If you have no circuit knowledge, play it safe and have a pro look at the set for you. Good Luck

What's the model number and what do you mean lines, can you see any picture or light on the screen?
it is a sony kv-32s66 you can see light but no picture because of the lines

There is a power supply kit to replace in this set that will fix this sometimes. I will have to see if it is still available.
