An old Toshiba cf3264k TV - Bright retrace lines with video barely visible.
Found an open resistor (1ohm 1/4w) in vertical output. The resistor connected to a diode and a capacitor (33uf, 250v). Replaced the resistor and it was burned out again after turning on the TV. Any suggestion?
Where does the resistor connect to? Where is the diode connected too? Where is the capacitor in the circuit? What you asking without a schematic is near impossible. Need a little more information please.
Sorry I do not have that service manual. A Bright screen with retrace lines could be an open screen resistor or screen supply voltage capacitor on the CRT(Drive)Board or in the high voltage- fly back circuit.Or perhaps a bad picture tube, but not likely. Check the voltage on the collectors of the three RGB drive Transistors. IF they are lower then 100 volts DC Check the screen driver supply voltage source.
