I have a Durabrand dvd player, part of a home theater system purchased from Walmart.
It's played fine for the past 3 years, until my daugther put a music cd in it. (Which probably doesn't make a diference.)
The cd won't eject and there is no manual eject button to push with a paper clip.
I've tried powering down, powering up, pushing on the stop button on the player while at the same time pushing the power button on the remote.
I took off the top cover to see if I can simply lift the cd off the player, but there is a black component covering it and hanging onto the cd, lifting it up off the floor of the cd drawer.
I can't figure out how to get it to release. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
There is no easy way to release the CD without dis-assembling the unit. Send me an Email and if you are somewhat local, I'll remove it for you. Please note that if not done properly, additional damage can occur not only to the player but perhaps also to the disc. If you can post hte model, I'll see if I can provide detailed instructions as an alternative.
Dan
The Durabrand model number is STS98. I'm pretty good at following detailed instructions, so if you have some, that would be awsome.
<><>Thank you.
Currently, Durabrand is identified only by a stylized D logo. Packaging on earlier products is a light green color, but products manufactured after 2004 have been packaged in red, with the brand and product description easily visible to the consumer.
