I have an Olympus digtal voice recorder. When I burn the recordings to a CD the result sounds as though I am in bowl of water. Can any one tell me how to get rid of the background noise it is not ambient.

Does it only sound this way after you burn the recording to CD, or is it like that when you preview the audio file on the PC prior to burning?
