My daughter who has a degree in media arts btw swears my vcr is 30+ year old.
It's a 4 head Zenith model number 3010. It is the first one we had that was front loading and didn't have a wired remote. You'd think it would be easy to determine this but *I* am absolutely tv naive. Can you help a poor old nurse here? Oh and it still works as well as the day the hubby paid $500 or more for it.
OK at the top is a seal that says mod nr VR3010 That is the only number on that particular sticker
Serial No is 41216551
It is silver plastic appx 17 1/" wide x 14 1/2 " deep and 4" tall
It has a digital clock, a series of about 14 silver plastic buttons across the front. Below that is a drop down door for fine adjustments.
Thank You, Pat

While I don't have an exact date, I believe that this model was from the early 80's. I've sent a note to a friend that can look up the manual for this one and get a more exact timeframe. It will soon be 30 years old though!!
See if any "modern" unit will last that long...

You are so right. We got the fiirst DirecTV dish in the county waaaaay back when. Paid $999.00 for it!!! Can you believe that? We have now had at least 10 of them. The first would still work if the software hadn't outgrown its capacity. The last 4 were free for the receiver and for the installation.
We paid $450 for our first DVD player. The last one was $20.00. The first still works better, but won't be worth fixing will it.
