I just finished doing the advanced convergance which is perfect on both colors, but i still seem to have an unclear image. It seems that there is a shadow on all printed type. I thought that i had eithor misalligned guns, or maby dirty back screen or guns.
More info is needed here such as what color is the shadow, and btw, there are three colors on the screen the red and the blue adjust into the green, If you have a white cross hatch then there is not a convergence problem. I would like to see some pictures to help diagnosie the problem. You can send the pictures to [email protected]
I do have white cross hatches, and like i said they are perfectly alligned. Im going to play a dvd and see if there is a shadow then. I'll update you. Thanks
Ok also take the front screen off and inside the front cover you will see a small square with 6 controls on it. You want to find the three focus controls, and while looking into the tubes, rock the focus controls left and right till the focus is the best is can be. Do that for each color and see if that helps.
Larry, your instructions worked perfectly. I also found the 3 guns to be quite dirty. Cleaned them, vaccumed everything, adjusted the focus and did an advanced convergance. It's now like NEW. Thanks, Jeff Horn
