I have a problem with my Projection TV Panasonic PT-53WXD63G.
I think it lost the power. There is a blinking red light on the front panel (next to "power").
Do you know what is the problem? may be the fuse?
Could you please tell me how do I change it?

My friend, There could be a bad or open fuse in this TV set, But to tell you some news, A fuse simlpy does not blow for no reason! You have most likely a problem in the power supply or maybe the sweep power supply. I am afraid there is no, for sure answer to your problem unless a tech first looks at the TV set and does a service diagnoises on the set. I can guess however that there might possibly be a shorted horizontal output transistor, and if that is in fact the problem for the short in the set, most likely the flyback as well is bad. Also in these sets the Convergence IC's can cause the set to go DOA as well. Good luck in the diagnoises and let us know here at techlore what the problem was to repair this TV set.
Hi Larry, Thanks for you response. I'd like to open the back cover but I don't know what does the fuse look like. Could you please descripe it for me? I called the technician and he will charge my $75 just for a trip. It's so expensive. I live in Seattle, do you know any cheap TV techician? Thanks a lot!
No I am sorry i do not know of anyone reliable in your area my friend. A fuse for this set will look like a small thin glass tube with a metal cap on each end, But please be carefull! Also before you remove the back, unplug the TV set. Also do not touch anything in the set if you do not know what it is as these sets will sometimes hold voltages, even if they are unplugged.

I had a question for you. I also have the same panasonic projection tv. pt53wxd63g my problem is a different one. Its showing me a double image on the red colors. I found the conversion adjuster. 1st it puts a cross in the center of the screen and asks me to set the red and blue crosses with the center white one. The blue, i have no problem with but the red I can get it just over top but will not completely line up. 2ND it puts 7 crosses around the screen and asks me to align all of them some i can get perfect and some i cant get them to move far enough down to line up with the white cross. Pleaselet me know what my options are, im thinking of calling a tech, mess with it my self or just think about getting a new tv. please help thanks.
hello Larry i have the same panasonic as above. pt53wxd63g the screen is showing me double image on the red color. this tv has convergence adjuster and i tried it but it lets me get close aligning the red cross to the white like it asks me to but it wont let me get it just perfect. secondly it asks me to align 7 crosses along the the screen some i can align perfectly but others i cant even come close. please help me i believe my options are finding a tech, playing with it myself or getting a new tv which i was not counting on doing.
