sony trinitron not working

I have a sony model kv36xbr400 set mfg. date of 9/2000. It doesnt want to turn on. I have unplugged the set for 1 hour and it does the same thing. I can hear the set try to come on but I have no audio or video. After letting it sit for 1 hour I turn it on and I can hear the click and hv try to come on but doesnt. I get 7 flashes on the standby led. Any suggestions.
Thank you,
David

Seven flashes mean that the

Seven flashes mean that the high voltage circuit has overloaded and shut down to prevent excessive X-ray radiation.  There is a problem in the high voltage circuit that regulateds the high voltage or maybe even in the main power supply that regulates the B+ going to the horizontal sweep circuit.  There are no user replaceable parts inside this TV set so play it safe and if you have no TV repair experience, please call in a tech to assist you in the diagnoise of this TV set.  Good Luck and let us know what you found out about this TV.
