I have an rca lyra rd1071a, and have also bought an SD memory card for it, but cannot use the card. The owners manual does not help me out any. can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Sure, we'd love to help you out. Give a little more detail first. What have you tried and what exactly doesn't work that is preventing you from using the card? Can you see the SD card on your computer and just can't transfer files to it, or are you just not sure how to get songs on it at all, or is it something else?
when i put the card in the mp3 player it shows that the card is in, and when i hook it to my computer it shows as drive g and the mp3 player as drive f. But when i try to put song on the card it will not play them. could it be a format problem, because when i look at the properties one shows as a fat file and the other shows as a fat32 file? and if it is how do i fix it? i put the same card in my digital camera and it works fine on it.
rca lyra RD1071a
found in a drawer and have not used in a year or 2. It won't turn on, even with a new battery in it. What could be wrong? There should still be lots of songs on it.
When I put mt 2GB SD card in my RCA LYRA RD1071A, it will only play the songs that I already have in it's memory bank. I had it off, then I insert the card but it still refuses to play the songs on the card. Does the RCA LYRA RD1071A only play MG cards? Or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for any help you cana give me

I have the same problem. I have a 256mg card, bought 5+ years ago, that works just fine in the 1071A, then recently went and bought a new 8gig card and it won't work. The 8gig card works fine when I put it in my laptop, I can load, play and unload songs galore. But when I put the 8gig in the MP3, nothing plays from it. I've tried all the combinations I can think of to get the 8gig card to play in the MP3, but no success. Any ideas out there? Is the 8gig somehow too big for the 1071A to manage?
