For the past few weeks our television been having a sound problem...
Sometimes we'll turn on the set and there will be no sound. To get the sound back on, we'll have to change the channel.
Sometimes, we'll be watching the television and the picture will go black for a second or two and the sound will go out and the picture will come back on. Again, the sound will not return unless the channel is changed.
At first this seemed sporadic... now daily, There are no blinking lights when this happens.
The tv is hooked up to a digital cable box. Yesterday, just to change one of the variables, we began watching without the cablebox (we have an a/b switch and we switched to the nonbox setting) and so far, the problem hasn't happened.
Any thoughts?
Sounds like if you have the cable box out of the loop and your problem does not happen, you have an intermittant cable box. Call the cable company and inform then that you need a new reciever. Good Luck, and let us know how you made out with this problem.
