I have a JVC Model AV-2771S. While watching the TV, it suddenly lost proper colors. A lot of green and no reds at all. I tried to adjust color without any success. All people look seasick on screen. Is picture tube gone?
Were you watching TV or a movie (DVD), etc? If the later, then did you check the connection to the TV? If loose, these kinds of weird things can happen.
It cost $160 (Canadian Funds). The TV is 10 years old, and, of course, out of warranty. Normally, I would have said "Forget it" and get a new TV, however, I would have had to pay $35 for service call. The picture is excellent and I have never had a problem previously, so I guess it was worth it.
Hi, i have a Toshiba wide screen 64". Modle number TZ55x71. When the TV is turned on the picture is fussy and it takes about two min. before we get a clear picture. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Thank You
Hi, (from Montreal Canada) I own a 5 year old Toshiba CN36Z71 tube. I have always raved about the good picture it has until recently. My cable (Videotron Illico Digital) went out about 2-3 weeks ago late at night. The next morning when I turned on my TV, something unusual happened, the cling was the same but I got this lazer fast ``flash`` and the screen was dark. Almost as if the turn on didn`t quite catch to full capacity. Naturally I clicked the turn on again and the picture came on. Ever since then however, my picture doesn`t seem right. I get alot of green shade on alot of channels, especially the important ones, my digital movie channels. I was watching the Sopranos last night and it was almost as if it had no color, the black images looked dark grey. On some channels it`s fine but I`m seeing too much of this green shade background and skin tones look off as well. Any idea what this may be ? I called a few service centers to inquire but no one will talk to me, I am forced to have someone come to my place for 65$ when I don`t even know how serious or correctable this problem may be.
I just bought a new tv/vcr/dvd combo today for my girls and there are horizontal fine lines moving through it about 8 to 10 icnhes apart. Not very noticable but whe you pay for a brand new tv that's what you want. TIA

Found out it was a color filter which had to be replaced. Thanks for your suggestion, though.

My sony tv has no picture will not cut on there is power going to the tv because I checked it with a meter So whats going on
