Sony trv145e

Hi,

I have a problem when I try recording with my Sony camcorder.No display on screen or viewfinder.The tape is moving and it records sound ok.I suspect the ccd sensor has packed up but just wondered if anyone else has had similar problems.Any help appreciated.It plays back previously recorded tapes ok.

Hi Steve,

I have exactly the same problem with my DCR-TRV145E. I do remember reading that it was a common fault brought on by either excessive heat or cold and that Sony was replairing the units free of charge.

The only problem was that I can't remember where I saw the article!

I shall go hunting and will post it here if I find anything.
