I'm new at this forum stuff, but it looks like a great way to get some tech advise. We have a tv that we had shipped from the states to us, it's a Emerson TV/DVD/VCR model EWC27T3, AC 120V 60Hz 125W, it was manufactured in Aug 2003. That's all the info on the back. We had a power surge that was the result of a small rocket attact that hit our generator. I opened her up and found a small blown fuse that is 3/4" long and rated at 125V 4A on the circuit card that the fuse was on I found F2601. . I also found a capacitor that the top looked to be blown off. It's about an inch in diameter and about an inch and a half tall. this is all that was on it; CE85 degrees C. LQ (m), O, 200WV on the actual circuit card next to it was C2610. I have ten hard charging and motivated Marines that work for me. we have someone in the shop 24/7 to be on call. We are the utilities section charged with ensureing uninterrupted power to ensure Marines on the ground get the medivacs and close air support they call in for. That TV is our savior and it's killing my teams moral having it down. Any help you all can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Semper Fidelis, W. D. Dear Marines:
There's a good chance if you replace the fuse and the cap that will probably get you up and running. The markings on your cap are a bit confusing - I recognize the temp and working voltage - that's the 85 degrees and 200 working volts - could the LQ (m) be 10 m - if that's the case it's a 10 microfarad 200 v electrolytic cap. - when you got the surge, it blew and took the fuse with it. I hope this helps - keep up the excellent work !

Check also LOPTR Q571(TT2140/2SD2627), ZENER DIODE D615(332.G,33V) CAUSE HI HT Q604 . Im not shure these board #s are the same but should be same conponents.
Gil in GA! That's good news, I was hoping it could be repaired. How do I obtain these parts...I have searched the net but any site that is selling something is off limits on our net. I just get a access denied screen from our damn server guys. Money is not a problem, we get paid here and none of us have anything to spend it on, we'll pay anyone almost any amount for the parts needed to get this thing up and running. I have a digital camera and can take pics of the parts on the board if need be. Silva, if the zener diode you are talking about is bad and I replace the fuse and capacitor will I fry everything again? Semper Fi, Bill
Email me with an address either here in the states or directly. I'll get the parts to you. I have them in stock. Dan
