rca p60751 60in projection tv

my rca p60751 60in projection tv was working fine till recently whan i started to hear a hissing sound and a small poping sound both coming from the red tube while the tv was on.now it will not even come on, when i try to turn it on all i get is a spark coming out from the end of the ihvt wire where it conects to the red tube. the spark seems to hit the metal frame next to the tube. i was told to change the hv splitter rca part#(205064) and that it would fix the problem.well i replaced it with a new and its still the same.the chassis # is ctc169 can some one help me? thank

Did the new High voltage

Did the new High voltage spitter come with new wires going to the picture tubes.  There may be a small hole or crack on the suction cup off the tube.  Also some TV sets need a special High voltage silicon around the new suction cups. You should replace the entire lead if it is not part of the high voltage spitter.  You should get a service manual on this model so you know whats what. You will need to get the COMPLETE model number and Go HERE

hi larry the high voltage

hi larry the high voltage spitter did not come with new wires and you was right on!!! when i checked the suction cup it had a crack and the plastic cover thats placed over the suction cup has a hole from the spark. i also notice a small coolent leak on the bottom of the tube i checked the main chassis to see if any coolent had fallen on it but it dose not look like any did. do you think this will be a problem if so is there a way to seal the tube to stop the leak? also do you know where i mite find the wire for my the tv.

You should order the High

You should order the High Voltage lead from an RCA distributor.  You should also get replace the tube or have someone repair the tube that is leaking.  RCA might have a repair for the leaky tubes, I am not really sure.  To get the lead you will need to go to http://www.partstore.com and call them from the number that is posted and ask them to look up the tubes high voltage lead.  They all are differant so you will need to give the the right color of the tube that the bad lead is on.  Also ask them about the leaky tube.  You will need to discharge that tubes High Voltage first.

If you marl exactly where the

If you marl exactly where the mounts are to the frame, and do not touch the deflection yolk, you will have to do very little alighnment if any to the convergence.
