If you needed more proof, beyond the pre-release spy shots and post-release teardown, that the updated iPod Touch was intended to house a camera, perhaps this photo will do the trick. Above, you see a work buddy’s new iPod Touch connected to a Windows laptop without an iTunes install. And the OS seems to think there’s a camera in the vicinity. Of course, this could very well be the default behavior of the previous iPod Touch under Windows. But given the rumors and speculation, we found this somewhat curious and amusing. To meet our blogger due diligence requirements, we’ll connect a 2nd gen iPod Touch in the next day or so to see what we get.
