I had two problems and a solved them... sort of.
First off, I'll say that TVs that only have 1 RF input are a real pain, and I have 2 of them. 1 is in my basement, and I needed to connect cable TV, a DVD player, and game systems to it, which as we all know need more than just 1 input.
My other problem, one that I probably need professional help for, is that I'm a cheapskate... there I said it.
When I saw the Arsenal Gaming Selector, I thought my problems were solved, and to an extent they were. The Arsenal Selector allows 4 composite or S-Video sources to be plugged in, which you get to easily switch between by the handy buttons on the front. Right, there are 5 million other products that do the same thing. What I liked about the Arsenal is that it builds in an RF modulator, so as you switch it outputs the source RF to the TV... and best of all, it was cheap! I picked up mine for about 15 bucks.
Well, you know what they say... you get what you pay for. Mine works, but it doesn't pass the cable signal when it's plugged into AC power. So whenever I want to watch TV, it needs to be unplugged from the wall, which also means that I have to plug it back in to watch a DVD or play a game. Bummer.
All-in-all, it was cheap, and I can put up with the constant back and forth with the plug. I'm not sure if mine is just defective or if they all are like this. Either way, cheap beats perfection when I work on small projects that don't relate to my primary system.
