Ask the Experts: RCA Lyra RD1028 Doesn't Work on Windows 2000

A TechLore "Ask the Experts" Question...

Question:

I have an RCA Lyra RD1028A MP3 player, which works perfectly. However, Windows 2000 doesn't detect the SD card as it does on Windows XP. It seems that there's no one to answer my problem among other forums I visit. Can someone help me??

Answer:

When using a Lyra product with Windows 2000, you need to be sure that Service Pack 3 or greater has been installed. Otherwise, the Lyra and it's SD slot will not be properly recognized.
