tivo-rewards.gif

Rumor has it that the TiVo Rewards referral program will cease as of 2/28. While the person reporting this doesn’t have much of a history on the TiVo Community Forum, the associated TiVo credit card offer does appear to be inactive:

Thank you for your interest in a Juniper Bank account. Unfortunately, this offer has expired. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Still Need A Hulu Invite?

Demand for Hulu was pretty high on my last post - and we managed to serve well over 50 beta invites. While I really appreciate folks chipping in to help out their fellow readers by giving away some of their invites, I thought it’d be more efficient to reach out directly to Hulu for support - and they’ve provided 100 accounts to distribute. So if you still need access, leave a comment and I’ll start filling orders tomorrow. First come, first served.

Cradlepoint MBR1000: Best EVDO Router Ever?

cradlepoint1.jpg

I pretty regularly end up in locations where I just can’t function - there’s no network drop, the connection is poor because it’s being shared with dozens of high bandwidth applications, I’m a guest and the LAN requires a local user account, etc. So, I’ve been keeping my eyes open for the right EVDO router. Apple Follows Amazon?s Lead

itunes99cent.jpgApple has followed Amazon Unbox’s lead in offering weekly 99 movie rental specials. Call it a loss leader - these sales reinforce their respective movie rental service offerings. When we still had the bedroom 32″ SDTV, we often enjoyed Amazon’s discounted films via TiVo. (Though we haven’t enjoyed watching them on our HDTVs - letter and pillar-boxes? Please!) It’s not yet clear if iTunes will offer multiple weekly selections like Amazon (did), or if the sale will be limited to one select feature as it is this week (The Hours).
