bad disc error

I keep getting this error on all my DVD's do I need to buy a cleaner or is there any way I can fix? I have a 2 year old dying for Bob The Builder:) Thanks.

I have just purchased a panasonic 26 inch Tv and a panasonic dvdr.  They work great. I wanted to also connect my old dvdr as a AV2 external link as I like it (its easy to use) Unfortunately after 2 days the picture became disrupted. I took it off and connected the TV input scart lead to my old tv input scart socket.

 I  would like to know if  you can make  a  dvd from a  time warner cable box  that  records from the Tv.

If someone can give me  babys steps.  I dont have a dvd recorder but do have a lap top with a dvd  recorder

AVIA DVD-610 drive band for disc door and raise lower of disc drive needs replacement

I have an AVIA DVD-610 and inspected after hearing cycling noise and along with unit not playing. I found that the small rubber band used to open/close the disc tray and to lift the disc drive unit into place was slipping. I'm trying to find a replacement rubber band, any suggestions?
