I dont think my tv is high def but what are those jacks for? Can they give me a better pic somehow?

Toshiba TN50x81 power shut off

My toshiba tn50x81 doesn't turn on if it hasn't been off for atleast 2
hours. Otherwise it doesn't seem to have anyother problems. Is there a
thermal switch which is causing this to happen.

large green spot near bottom center of LCD

Zenith (Model D60WLCD) 60" lcd tv has been great.  However,
recently, a green blob (or spot or bloom) is in the background near the
bottom center of the screen and affects the colors of any overlying
video on the screen.  When the sceen is on and displays a rather
grey background (without a video picture), the green blob is seen
clearly.   Can still view video pictures fairly well, but the
green influence is bothersome.   Does anyone know what the problem
is and what I can do about it?

TV won't turn off

I have a Hitachi projector TV that is about 10 years old.

A few months ago, it wouldn't turn off after I pressed the power button, so I had to unplug it.
Then, after a few days it started working again. Now it is doing the same thing again.

When I press the power button to turn it off, it immediately comes back on, but there is no sound.
I press the power button again, it immediately comes back on, but with sound.

It keeps alternating like this, but refuses to turn off. What can be the problem?

Audio output from Phillips

I have just bought a Phillips 26 in flat screen (26PF5521D) and the onlyaudio  output I can find is via a SPDIF output. No one seems to have heard of such a thing. I have phonos inputs to my audio system. Does anyone know how I can link the two please?

Convergence problems with Toshiba 50hx81
