Television and Home Theater

I've recently replaced the convergence IC's on a Sony KP-65WV700 as well as a resistor that was shorted. I am now able to achieve proper convergence per the service manual instructions, or via the user menu; however, upon saving those settings and turning the TV off, the convergence begins to drift , usually to the left. It seems to be through the entire screen, but can show a greater drift in certain areas, with no discernable patterns.

When i turn this rear projection dlp tv on the lamp fires up and i can see the lamp starting to get brighter and after couple of seconds the lamp shuts off. No blinking lights in the front of the tv. I replaced the lamp with a new one but still the same symptoms. Could this be a lamp ballast issue? If ballast is bad would it light up the lamp for a few seconds and shut down? Please help, this is the only tv I have and no cash to buy a new one.

I tried several times to turn it on and all I get is 2 or 3 seconds of light from the lamp and shuts off.
