Television and Home Theater

My Panasonic TV is 4 years and 2 months old. That makes it two months "over" the warranty period and a few days ago it decided it wasn't going to come on anymore. It makes a power (click) sound like it's about to come on then it just clicks agin and nothing... It's been a really good TV and I know that if I can just figure out this power issue that it should still have at least a few good years left. I checked for the simple things (fuse, lose connections, etc) but it's beyond me.

I was given a Sony KP-41T35 TV that had no picture.  After some troubleshooting, I discovered 2 open resistors on the Convergence Board.  I replaced the 2.2 Ohm resitors per the schematic/parts list and now have a picture, however, it needs adjustment.

 The key sequence to bring the TV into service mode does not seem to work (DISPLAY-5-VOL+-TVON).

 Has anyone experienced this problem and found a resolution?

My TV works fine but after a while its audio goes loud and goes back to normal. it is happening in all situations when I am conected to cable or DVD or VCR, any one have any idea what is going on?
