Television and Home Theater

Our projection TV's color and picture are distorted with green & yellow predominating.  If I give it 15-20 minutes to warm up, it improves but changing channels brings it right back to the distortion, or, a black & white commercial seems to make the quality digress as well.  Is there anything we can do to correct this?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 hi, i have a toshiba tv model# cf2055a that my  10 y/o son uses for his games. recently the images on screen have become a liitle distorted,the characters bodies are  a little off, the heads are elongated and the lower bodies are shortened. everything else works fine. i'm pretty handy and am wondering if there is an easy fix to it or is my son destined to play on the 9" smaller set. btw, i know tvs are pretty cheap but my wife already said no to getting another new  tv for his room.
