RCA TV Turns on When Plugged in

Hello,

I have a 27" RCA TV in my condo that is only two years old and has been turning itself on by itself since I bought the condo a year ago. Since I rent the place out only in the summer and it is 500 miles away, I am not there enought to find out what was happening. Just last week I was and found that when the tv is off and I unplug it and then plug it back in, it turns the set on. I'm thinking that a power surge or power intteruption maybe the culprit here.

Any ideas?

Red and blue lines in the bottom of my screen

Hi,

I have a 60" projection TV Philips for more than 4 years. It was working fine and two days ago I start to see red and blue (green somtimes) in the bottom of my screen. I tried to adjust it with the remote. some points accept but the others in the bottom and the left side didn't.

Any help will be apprecaited.

Best wishes.

Toshiba 53H71

My Toshiba 53H71 televison recently started to show 11 vertical dotted lines on the screen at all times. I have no idea what has caused it, but it appears to be getting worse. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

tv repair

Have Toshiba 36" tube type tv-1997 (CF36G55). Picture and sound are intermittant. May stay on 1 minute or 1 day.  Vibrations (tapping the chassis will cause on/off malfunction).  Have been told tuner problem is possible. Is this likely?  How complicated is the replacement?  Back of tv is now off.  I do not see any burned out circuitry.

Panasonic TC-32LX20 shadows

I’ve had my Panasonic TC-32LX20 for about 15 months and lately I’ve noticed several horizontal smudges or shadows from one side of the tv to the other. They are not straight lines but rather have a soft, smudgy look to them. They are in the same position but show up more when I have gray picture. Do you have any idea what this could be?

Thanks
