Television and Home Theater

The audio went kaput on my TV. The speakers stutter tat tat tat  when you move the volume up or down. First the sound went down, then completely off. It is a nice TV other than that.

It is a 26" RCA Stereo. It says Entertainment Series Left top, and Guide Plus Gemstar Right top.

I think I bought it around September 01, as a refurbed unit. If it is a bad part inside, would it work connected to external speakers? I will try that, but I would think not.

I can replace parts and troubleshoot, but I do not know where to look. Any help is appreciated.

I need to monitor Karaoke Tracks which are in CD + Graphics format... I have been using a baby TV successfully for some years, but now need to update the TV to an LCD Model.

The problem is that the LCD T.V (Supplied by Maplins) will not recognise CD+G.. it is fine when fed with other Digital formats, but stays firmly locked in Blue Screen when fed with CDG.

I bought it used a few weeks and noticed the picture is bending, not really sure on why this is happening but I need some help.

I know describing it wouldn't do it justice so I got a picture.
