Television and Home Theater

I have a Mitsubishi WT42313 that I bought 3 1/2 years ago - worked great until this week!  When I try to power up the unit, I get a high-pitched whine for about 3 seconds, then the unit powers right back off.  The whine appears to come from the left side (facing the screen), but I'm not 100% about this.  I've read numerous posts trying to find a similar problem, but haven't seen this one yet.  Is this another case of bad cap's on the DM module or something different?  Any help is always greatly appreciated.

can anyone help.  my 3 year old Sony 32 LCD TV model #klv32m1 all of a sudden has no power.  i checked the cord and tried plugiing it into a different outlet.  A repairman looked  at it and told me it was the power supply.  he quoted me $650 for the repairs.  Does this sound like a fair price.? How can i fix it myself? please Help.

My tv started rolling on its own and some weird colors come in the picture, Its a sanyo model # DS32224.I took it to the shop and they say they tested everything that could make this happen. They say everything checks out ok. Could you help me out with this problem?thanks.
