Television and Home Theater

Hi folks,

Sold my old JVC GR-AX2 VideoMovie analog camcorder a week ago to a guy in another state.

I had used it probably ten times years ago. Got it out, mint condition, tested fine. Sold with all original accessories, cables, etc., and an unopened package of three TC-30 tapes (Maxell HGX-Gold).

Buyer emailed to say it only records/plays back in black & white!

He said the following:

A friend gave me her 27 inch Magnavox tv (Model RG7290 BK01) and the Onkyo audio surround equipment that she had connected to it.  I'm having problem connecting the tv and Onkyo audio equipment - can't get the TV sound through the Onkyo surround system.  We also have a Verizon FIOS TV set box connected to the TV.  Can someone help me make the correct connections?

Taking one last shot before I give up on trying to fix this Panasonic.  I just found this site, I'm hoping I'll have better luck here.

Here's my symptoms.  Press the power button.  A few seconds later I get some garbled display/multi colored lines on the screen.  The unit turns off and I get 5 blinks on the front power light.
