phillips projection #9P6040C101

Looking for some help here with our phillips proj. tv. It recently has gone to a overwhelming red tint to it. It is drowning out the other colors. Anyone have a possible fix or realistic suggestion. Dont really have the funds to buy a new one at this time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

lines & shadows of colour on philips lcd flat screen tv

For the last three days we have noticed a worsening colour distortion problem on our 37"philips hd ready lcd model no 37PF5320/10. Part of the problem seems to be columns of green lines of varying intensity 'running' down the screen. Also green and red swirls and 'shadows' appear, the green ones seeming to settle on areas of brightness. The whole thing seems to get a litle worse the longer the tv is on.

Sony 6 Blinks...Made Measurements...now need help

Well, I finally got set up and made some measurements.  Thanks for your suggestions.....(See thread Sony 7 Blinks)

1st....the tv will either come up (full operation), or it will click a couple times....no HV sound, and the LED will blink 6 times....indicating +5V problem 'Shutdown'.

+5 is fine at IC504...(except that pin number 4 is at 3.4V...is it floating?).  Case/heat sink seems to be at ground.

+5UNREG is at 6V.....that was the one I measured at Pin 8 of CN6504 (I think this is what you meant).
