Television and Home Theater

When i power on tv it blinks 3 times with a few second pause between each time, sometimes it will come on and sometimes it takes a couple hours to get it on. Have to wait about a minute between each try to power it on. Also when tv does power on screen flashes for about a minute before screen becomes clear. Any ideas?

I have a sony 50we610 grand wega that's worked beautifully for 5 years.  I turned it on and all I have is snow for a picture, it's stuck on channel 2, one red blinking light when it's turned on and it won't turn off unless I switch off the power supply.  I've had 2 repairmen look at it.  1 said it was the tuner. 2 said it was the mother board.  Both said it was more expensive to fix than to replace and they would do me the favor of taking it off my hands.  Is it fixable and can I fix it with the help of a friend that's an electrician?

Hi,  I am having an annoying problem and looking for some troubleshooting tips.

TV is a Sanyo DP42840 connected to a Motorola QIP7232-2 HD set top via HDMI (Verizon FiOS HD provider).

I have an issue that happens probably 40-50% of the time either watching live TV or shows recorded on the DVR (in my experience mostly HD since that's what I watch, not sure if it is also an issue with SD). When transitioning from the program to a commercial, the audio will get corrupted.  I would describe it as "pulsating", "choppy", "modulating" or "staccato".
