Television and Home Theater

I have a code 23 which means horizontal deflection failure. I was wondering if anyone knew what possibles things would cause this? What things can I check for. I have the schematics on the tv, was just wondering if anyone knew what could be the cause. The pins on the convergence ics were desoldered, I was wondering if this damage the ics and if they were the problem. I resoldered them but no effect on the tv. Please help me I would rerally appreciate it.

Hello i have a philips  tv 50p8342 the tv will turn on and stay on for a hour then it will turn off also when the tv is on the power button will not turn it off but the remote will turn the tv off.

Hi, I have an older tv and i dont have the manual.  there is always a white blur on the screen and always seems to have a little off color balance glow to it. I am constantly messing with the manual convergence knobs. One set of three says screen and the other set of three says focus. I cleaned the convergence pods with microfiber cloth and they are spotless. is there any quick remedy or online guide to fix this problem? i have serial if you need it as well.
