Television and Home Theater

I replaced 3 semiconductors and 1 fusible resistor (a "repair" kit for Sony's.). TV worked well for a day or so. Except when I turned it on it would make a "whow" sound? Sorry, that is the best I could do to describe it! But only on power up and then fine. I knew it was going to be a problem. Sure enough it stppoed working again. pulled components and they were defective again.

I hope someone can figure out this problem.  A friend bought this TV, HCN4226w, new 2 years ago.  When they delivered it and hooked it up, it had thin red squiggly lines that fade in and out.  Most of the lines were vertical on the screen.  The guy told her it was the Comcast cable box causing the problem.   She had Comcast come out, and they said it was either the TV or an electrical problem in the house.  She just used the set as it was and never followed up with a repair.

  I have a bit of a dilema I need some help with.  The convergance ICs have 18 pins each. Alongside of these are various resistors that are bridged to different legs of the IC. Can someone tell me which legs of the ICs should be bridged to which resistors? 

 IC8001 has solder bridges at  pins # 6, 14, 15, 16

 IC8002  has solder bridges at  pins # 6, 14, 15

Does anyone know if these are correct?
