Television and Home Theater

A friend of mine has a Mitsu 65613 that is flashing code 22 short protect.

Is there a troubleshooting guide on this? He has the repair manual and it mentions code 22 but never states what the causes may be.

 I have not looked at the set yet but was hoping there is a detailed guide for the errors and test points to check. I have read the common problem to be the STK392-250's to be a problem but would like the prove that before just replacing.

 He also had a repair shop replace the 4 caps that typically go bad about 6 months ago or so.

I just replaced my convergance IC's and a pico fuse and my tv is ALMOST back to normal.

 I went to my convergance page and all the colors are lined up, except not the white+'s on the left side of the screen are higher up than the one's on the right side.

 Does anyone have advice?

first i would like to say this is a great site ...with your siteshelp i found my convergence ic was bad ..and that it could be fixed rather easliy ...but i lack soldering skills so i decided to have a local shop fix it......they did and the picture is now working fine but when its cold and you first turn it on you can hear a slight humming sound from the speakers..when it heats up it goes away ...the tech said maybe a noise filter is going bad and tracing it down would be hard to do...the noise did not start till ic was replaced ..any ideas????
