Television and Home Theater

hi there can anyone help me, i have a sony plasma, and it powers on but a horizontal line goes accross the screen then tv powers off and goes to standby mode blinks 6 times with 3 second intervals.has any one had this problem and knows how i can fix it.many thanks .ruth

I have a ws-55511 tha has problems with the green. if i turn down the gain on the green, the tv will stay on and work fine. all convergance settings work. have already replaced IC. with tv on i turn up the green gain and it flickers. i can turn it up far enough to see that it is shrunk compaired to the blue and red. if i turn it up to make the cross hair in the convergance screen turn white, the green pulses and flickers and then the tv turns off. i checked for codes and get a 21. i dont think there is a code 21 so maybe its a 12, but that does not help me. i don't have the service manual.

I am not sure how well this might go over here, but I am curious if anyone can offer some other possible sources for help. I have Mitsubishi WD-52725 that has the green blinking light of death. I have posted several time here and have not gotten any responses. So I am wondering what other places I can look for help. I have checked AVS Forum, PTS Corp, and just about to sign up with a troublsehooting databse to see if that can help.

So what other possible sources do you all use to search. I am a DIYer just hoping to fix my TV and wondering what else might be out there.
