Sorry - I just found that I have been posting under someone elses post.

Hi all - I have some free time and decided to work on this set again (was clicking and making a high-pitched whine when powered up - no picture). I got a message from another user a few months back who was having the same probs as me. He had unplugged the convergence module, and he said his set came on. So I tried it - bingo! I have a picture! Although the convergence is messed up on it.

I just fixed a sony KP-51WS510 convergence problem thanks to all the wonderful help from techlore!! I was lucky enough to get the tv for free because of the problem and am now loving the world of the big screen...  I thought I read something about get the calibration done to optimize the picture? What recommendations do have about calibration?  No need, use a dvd, manually or hire someone?
