I inherited a Hitachi 60sx2b. I know the TV is old but the TV worked fine before I transported it home in the back of my pickup. Now only the red light comes on when the power is turned on. The TV has no picture and no sound. I have looked at the board and wiring to see if something came undone and found nothing out of the ordinary. The small fuses look good also. I am mechanically inclined and can read a wiring diagram. Any help to diagnose the problem would help.

I have a toshiba 36A50 and it has begun giving me some problems with the picture. it started out with a bouncing line across the bottom of the screen, it has not gotten to the point where I lose about 2" of picture. But the picture is not gone completey, it has been sort of squished from the bottom up. after a good whack on the top of the tv, the picture returns fine. Any ideas what I am dealing with here, and is it something worth fixing?
