Television and Home Theater

I have a Panasonic CT-27D30B. The tv pretty much has a mind of its own I believe. I'll be watching tv and it just goes off...I can't do anything with the tv till it turns itself back on unless I unplug it from the wall but it still doesn't always turn on when I replug it in. Does anyone know what could be wrong or a part that needs to be replaced?

 I have a sony Wega i think it is a 52 inch...not sure...model number is KDI-E50A10, the tv is on and will auto shut off and on every 30 seconds or so it is aprx 45 flashes everytime it does this. the picture is still fine, the sound is fine, it just shuts off and on.

I accidentally blocked myself from several channels via the Parental Controls feature.  Now i can't view channels without entering a 4-digit password, which has NEVER been set since I've had the T.V. (bought it in 2000).

Can someone PLEASE help me remove this block?
