Television and Home Theater

I have a Hitachi 51SWX20B that will not turn on. Online help is pointing towards convergence IC's. What about the green lights? Are there codes for these lights? Am I to assume that if the set will not come on it's the IC's??

The problem is intermittent. Sometimes the pictures is perfect and other times it is dark with too much red/blue saturation. Could it be a capacitor going bad? The TV either turns on perfect or turns on with color problems. It never works and then gets dark.

Its a model number WT-42313 HD1080 series.
