Television and Home Theater

I have had my RCA model 27V520T for a few years now.  My problem is now the remote has stopped working as have the front panel buttons. The front panel buttons do not control the features they say they control, i.e. the channel up now powers the tv on, volume is the menu... TV will turn on and off at random and it is driving me CRAZY!!! When I am able to get the tv on, it starts a channel search, but the tv won't stay on long enough to go through the search. Then, on and off, on and off. Any help is appreciated!!!!

I have a Sony FWD-50PX2 that isn't working and I am trying to troubleshoot why.  When its plugged in the green LED on the front lights up.  Then a click is heard on the G board, two green LEDs light up on the CTRL board, first D15 then D18 (D16 and D17 never come on).  A "whirring" sound is heard on the Y SUS board and a rapid chirping like sound from the X/Z SUS board.  Then 1 more green LED lights up on the CTRL board, D1.  This is followed by the D2 green LED briefly flashing on the CTRL board followed by another click on the G board.  The process

I'm getting a 9 blink error code on my model kv-32fs120 and I got it to turn on once so it could be considered intermittent. A Sony thread says check the switching reg. on the "G" board, so anyone know where this is or is it right behind the on/off switch? Is the "G" board the main board?
