Television and Home Theater

Ok i have a RCA 50" that is a few years old. The bulb went out and i replaced it with part number 269343. This still didn't work so i found a thread on this forum telling me to replace the caps on the power supply. I did this and it still will not come on. The lights flash 5 times and then turn off. I also here what sounds like a fan coming on and off when the lights are flashing. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I checks the caps on every board I could find and none of them are bubbled on top so they seem ok. Any help would be great.

a samsung LCD tv model ln32a450c1dxza out f warranty. It comes on but a
very "white picture almost transparent like". A friend whom knows a bit
about electronics changed the T-Con board. It worked ok for a day and
them when back to same.....ANY suggestions on what to check next?

My sony kp-51hw40 after about 30 to 40 minutes it flashes blue about three times, 5 min or so in between and on the third time the set cuts out. I recieved 8 blinks. When the set is in a room that is cold it stays on longer  all night sometimes but onc i move it to a room that has heat  it again did the blue flashes and then shut off. ( not sure if it matters but when This first happend I got 8 blinks)
