Television and Home Theater

the TV has a snowlike effect which is black and white blocks 1/2" wide 1/8" tall like a giant checked flag and there is no sound I would love a service manual and some clue where to start to fix this. thanks for your knowledge

My set blew two caps and based on the information I found here, did the replacement and lost the blue halo I had. ended up replacing all the caps. I did read and now cannot find something about some diodes that could have been hurt. If someone has something, could you let me know.

Secondly, could the screen I see when it powers up be due to the shortcable containing the shielded wires that go between the FMT and the i/o panel being installed in reverse?

plugged tv in and powers on, but no picture comes up...screens blank nothing on it. just stopped working? not sure what exactly it is? repair guys said maybe a bulb or a fuse, but thats without looking at it. gona fix it myself if i can find out what it might be....any help would be great thanks guys.
