Television and Home Theater

I have a Sony KV-32FS12 32" standard definition CRT television.  It runs, (and has a nice picture) for up to 20 minutes, then shuts off.  The power/status light blinks twice, pauses, and repeats.  The set will not turn back on immediately, but will within a few minutes.  As time goes on, the amount of time it will stay on drastically reduces. (down to 1-2 minutes after three or four restarts.  

I have done some research on the web, and would like to confirm it with other experts.  

I had the blinking light issue but have that resolved . Now when i use any input there are colored lines in the picture . Wavy with a slight tilt . You can still see the picture and the lines are faint but noticeable . Now when i use the HD tuner for the off air channels its clear . This is the only source that is clear . I downloaded the manual but thought i'd ask if anyone has seen this problem . Thanks for any input , James

The screen on my tv has the telltale red and blue lines that I believe indicate a convergence problem. However, when this problem occurs, I also get a kind of "concave" bend in the screen from the bottom. Is this also associated with the convergence problem?
