Television and Home Theater

My friend has a 64 inch rear projection tv that is giving him fits.  The picture is real jumpy.   After the set is on for a few min it calms down a little, but doesn't stop.  We have replaced the convergence chips thinking that might be the problem but it didn't work.  Any other ideas?

MY LG PROJECTION TV CHASSIS MP03AB .....SWICTHES TO STANDBY MODE WITHIN 10SECONDS WHEN I PRESS POWER ON...!

I CHECKED EACH PART HOT 2SD1879/STR6558 ALMOST ALL ARE OK...WHEN I REMOVE HOT 2SD1879 THEN TV IS WORKING FINE BUT NO PICTURE..SOUND IS OK NOT SWITCHING TO STANDBYMODE....!

KINDLY HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM...!
